If my sister sells my dogs without my permission how do I get them back?

Question

My sister is watching my dogs while I’m deployed overseas and she says she’s going to find them a new home and leave them there without my permission. What legal action can I take?

Answer

The most expedient action may be to immediately make other arrangements for your dogs. Other arrangements may include identifying another person, a boarding facility, or veterinarian with whom the dogs can be boarded (even short term) and letting your sister know where to bring them. I hope this all works out well for the dogs.
