Hurricane Ian Relief

Supplies Needed for Partner Shelters Affected by Hurricane Ian

Our shelter partners along Florida’s southwest coast are facing the aftermath and clean-up of damage caused by Hurricane Ian and the subsequent storm surge. North Shore Animal League America’s Emergency Rescue Team is collecting relief supplies to be distributed to affected animal shelters in in the wake of this catastrophic storm. Supplies will be hard to come by in areas hit hardest by the hurricane. That’s why we are reaching out to animal lovers in the Long Island and tristate region for help.

You can bring donated emergency supplies for animals (and the humans caring for them) to our Port Washington, NY campus beginning today, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 through SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1.  A mobile unit with your donations will depart early Sunday morning, October 2nd.

Our Rescue Team is collaborating with our longtime shelter partner Pinellas County Animal Services in Clearwater, Florida who will serve as the hub to distribute the much-needed supplies to smaller shelters and the public in the areas affected by the hurricane.
