Walk & Waggers Step Up to Save Lives

The 2024 Walk & Wag Fundraising Challenge rallied passionate animal lovers nationwide to step up, leash up, and raise critical funds to save the lives of homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. Over the 30-day challenge, participants from 90 cities and 22 states walked in solidarity to support North Shore Animal League America’s no-kill mission.

The 8th annual Walk & Wag challenge culminated on October 19th with a finale at Hudson River Park’s Pier 84 in Manhattan. Walkers and their dogs gathered under a brilliant blue sky to complete the final stretch, and enjoy a vendor fair that included treats for both two- and four-legged walkers. Our 2024 Walk & Wag Ambassadors Ilias Siafakas and Dr. Chris Markson – content creators, influencers, gamers and Muskrat Nation cat dads – were present to cut the ribbon and set participants on their way.

Whether strolling in person along the 3-mile loop or participating virtually from across the nation, everyone was united in one goal and together, we raised more than $100,000! These funds will help us rescue, nurture, and find loving homes for animals in need — animals like our Walk & Wag Canine Captain, Tater, who despite being blind, lives each day with boundless joy.

We are grateful to our incredible sponsors who made this Challenge possible, and to everyone who participated, donated, and cheered us on!

Special Thanks to Our Sponsors
