Our mission to create a better tomorrow for every animal we encounter may begin with the rescue process and end when our animals find responsible, loving homes on adoption day, but the real work comes in between those milestones. At Animal League America we take pride in providing our animals with the type of individualized, compassionate care that only we as the world’s largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization can provide.
In a single year our veterinary staff performed 65,000 medical examinations and provided crucial vaccines for 58,000 animals, while our dedicated shelter staff and selfless volunteers helped to find the perfect homes for more nearly 18,000 homeless dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens from our Port Washington, N.Y. Adoption Center.
